Who Can Use the POCSAG Pager?
The POCSAG system is ideal for whether you're caring for an individual or multiple residents in a care home environment. The ability to connect it to a range of sensors allows it to meet your own individual requirements in a wide range of situations.
The POCSAG Pager will not interfere with any existing care alarms in your home or care facility, making it a great choice for people with existing alarms set up.
How Does the POCSAG Pager Work?
The transmitter (sold separately) sends a text messages to your pager, allowing you to identify the source of the alarm. For example, you might have a person that is at risk of wandering out of a front or back door, and you can customise the alarm to say "Front Door" or "Back Door" depending on which alarm is triggered. This allows you to react more quickly to any danger and helps to ensure that the person in your care is as safe as possible.
How Are Alerts Received?
Alerts are sent via the transmitter to the pager. The message can be received either with one of four tones for an audible alert, or as a vibration for a silent alert. This is particularly useful if you work in a noisy environment or if you are monitoring residents at night and do not wish to disturb anybody.
How Clear Is the Pager Screen?
With a backlit display screen, alerts can be read clearly and swiftly. It also displays text in four lines (two lines in zoom mode) to provide you with the information necessary.
How Compact Is the Pager?
Ensuring you don't need to carry around anything bulky or obtrusive, the pager measures just 53 x 60 x 18mm. It also includes a belt clip so you can attach it to yourself, reducing the need to physically carry it in your hands if no pockets are present.
How Is the Pager Powered?
The POCSAG pager requires 1 x AAA battery. This is supplied with your purchase.
How Long Does the Battery Last?
On average, you can expect the AAA battery to last around one year. However, this may vary depending on how frequently the pager is used.
