The Nanny BM-02 Children's Night Time Breathing Monitor and Alarm is designed specifically for young children to monitor their breathing movements as they sleep. A straightforward and simple to use device, the Nanny NM-02 Monitor has a sensor pad that is placed underneath the mattress, which is triggered with a loud acoustic and visual alarm if the child's movement or breathing stops for more than 20 seconds.

Advanced Detection Technology
The Nanny BM-02 Children's Night Time Breathing Monitor and Alarm uses sensors to measure even the tiniest chest movements created when breathing. If less than eight breaths per minute are recorded, the alarm will sound. Additionally, if no breath at all is detected for a period longer than 20 seconds, the alarm will also sound.
The alarm must be reset once activated at the monitor itself to acknowledge the alarm, otherwise it will continue until the batteries are exhausted. The monitor on the Nanny BM-02 also has LEDs that indicate confirmation of breathing detected, low battery warning, and when sensor fault is detected.
Indications For Use
The Nanny BM-02 Children's Night Time Breathing Monitor and Alarm is suitable for children with medical conditions that may cause cessation of breathing including:
- Epileptic children
- Children with Obstructive Sleep Aponea (OSA)
- Babies at risk of cot death or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
- General use for monitoring potential vulnerable infants
Is There an Age or Weight Limit?
There is no age limit for the Nanny BM-02 Breathing Monitor. It can be used for children weighing up to 15kg.
Enclosed Sensor
The sensor itself is enclosed in a washable vinyl pocket where normal strength disinfectant can be used should it become soiled. The sensor also has a two metre connection lead with a five metre extension lead supplied to enable positioning of the monitor alarm outside of a child’s room.
