Medpage NMDRX-FA6P Wrist-Worn Gravity-Activated Fall Detection Alarm

Many carers of vulnerable patients suffer from hearing issues themselves, which is why the Medpage NMDRX-FA6P Wrist-Worn Gravity-Activated Fall Detection Alarm alerts carers with flashing LED lights as well as up to 96dB of sound. The wrist-worn transmitter uses dual sensors to accurately detect falls within 100 meters of the alarm station.

What's Included?

  • 1 x Fall Sensor
  • 1 x NMDRX Portable Alarm Station

What Are the Key Features of the Medpage Fall Detection Alarm?

  • Inertia- and Gravity-Sensitive: Dual fall detection sensors respond to both inertia and gravity for maximum accuracy
  • Audible and Visible Alarm: Features both coloured flashing lights and audible alarms for carers who are hard of hearing
  • Compact and Portable: Portable station for placement around the home, wrist-worn transmitter is compact and unobtrusive
  • Large Range: Offers a hundred metres of operating range

Who Can Use the Gravity-Activated Alarm?

The Medpage Fall Detection Alarm is suitable for the protection of the elderly as well as those with dementia or limited mobility. In addition, the maximum 96dB alarm tone and LED light functions allows for easy use by hard-of-hearing carers. The alarm station can be paired with multiple wrist-worn transmitters for use in a care home or other scenarios with multiple vulnerable persons.

How Does the Medpage NMDRX-FA6P Fall Detection Alarm Work?

Dual fall detection sensors in the transmitter can detect both inertia and gravity, raising the alarm when a sudden fall or a change in the height of the device from the floor occurs. In addition, the wrist band features a manual button so the wearer can alert carers themselves if needed.

How Does the Wrist-Worn Alarm Alert Carers?

The alarm tone itself can be set to three separate levels, with 96dB as the highest. Secondly, the station will project coloured, flashing LED lights onto the ceiling to attract the carer's attention. The alarm can be set to run for 30 seconds, or to continue looping until the alarms are cancelled.

What If I'm Caring for Multiple People?

The NMDRX station is compatible with additional Medpage transmitters, allowing for a maximum of 5 transmitters per station. Carers can select from a choice of 5 LED colours to refer to each transmitter, indicating which transmitter has detected a fall. If there are multiple active alarms indicated, the selected transmitter colours will flash alternately until the alarms are cancelled.

How Convenient is the Medpage NMDRX-FA6P Alarm?

Not only is Medpage Alarm highly portable, but offers an operating range of 100 metres. The device features a simple switch at the top to select light colour and turn the station on and off. An LED light will indicate when the alarm is running low on battery.

When Should I Wear the Medpage Gravity-Activated Alarm?

The device is intended to be worn at all times. However, it is not waterproof, and should not be worn in the shower or bath.
