Working in a care home means there is the potential for several different alarms to go off at any given time. Unless you know where the alarm is coming from, you can't react to it. Not knowing the location leads to more work for the staff and reduces response times; what every care home wants to avoid.
With the Text Pager Unit and Transmitter, this response time is reduced. The transmitter is connected to any of the Emfit units and sends a text message to the pager when the alarm is triggered. The personalised messages informs staff which alarm has been triggered and they can react accordingly.

The transmitter can be connected to the Tonic-Clonic Seizure Alarm, the SafeFloor, or the Safebed systems. When the alarm sounds, this then transmits a personalised message to the pager, alerting the carer to the problem. The pager can be programmed to sound the alarm for either 8, 16 or 40 seconds, or alternatively to keep going until the alarm is acknowledged and a button pressed.
Suitable for use in care homes, the text pager alerts the carer even if they are out of ear-shot of the alarm and has an out-of-range indicator to warn the user when they have ventured too far away. The message displayed on the pager indicates the location of the alarm and assistance can be given faster.
The pager consists of a time and date display and a back-light. There is a 4 line display available and a reminder if any unread messages remain on the device.
