When caring for a loved one, it is vital that you know everything that is going on in your home so that you can best act to help them whenever they need it. Monitoring the essentials is vital to ensuring that those under your care are best looked after, and it's important that they don't become a danger to themselves by moving around when they shouldn't.
The Care Call Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm System with Pager is a complete kit that enables you to be quickly and efficiently alerted to the presence of smoke and/or CO in your home, as well as enabling you to ensure that those under your care don't move about without help and injure themselves. The kit comes with five parts – the pager, the charger, the smoke alarm, the carbon monoxide alarm and the PIR movement monitor.
The pager has been designed to easily alert you. Simply wear it on your belt, in your pocket or around your neck and the pager will beep if the smoke alarm detects smoke or CO in your home, or if the PIR monitor detects movement, so there's no risk of missing the alarm.
The included charger will charge the pager at night, ensuring that you can have constant monitoring for the most peace of mind.
The accompanying Smoke Alarm wirelessly connects to the pager to alert you to the presence of smoke, and the CO alarm monitors the levels of CO in your home and alerts the pager if those levels become dangerous. The PIR movement monitor will alert the pager when it picks up movement, making it an ideal alternative to pressure mats.

Ionisation vs. Optical Smoke Alarms
The Care Call Smoke Alarms are available in two types:
Ionisation Smoke Alarms detect invisible smoke and early stage fires, this makes them ideal for upper floors and bedrooms but can prove too sensitive for single-level dwellings or placement in or near kitchens.
Optical Smoke Alarms detect larger particles of smoke and are less sensitive to cooking fumes, making them idea for downstairs placement and single-level dwellings.
For multi-level houses, it is recommended that an Ionisation Alarm is placed on the upper levels and an Optical Alarm placed on the kitchen level.
