Bellman Visit Optical Smoke Detector and Portable Receiver
Protecting yourself, your loved ones and your home from fire is essential. For those who are hard of hearing, however, it can be a difficult to hear the alarm and be able to react in time to avoid the flames. This, quite clearly, is a huge problem.
The Bellman Optical Smoke Alarm is an ideal solution to this issue. Sensing both fire and heat, the detector sends a transmission to the receiver, informing the user of the potential danger. Protecting your home with the right fire alarm keeps your family safe: its importance cannot be overstated.
The Bellman Optical Smoke Detector is designed for use with a number of different receivers. To make purchasing easier, a Bellman Optical Smoke Detector and Portable Receiver Kit is now available.
Features of the Optical Smoke Alarm
The smoke detector is an optothermal one, meaning it can detect both smoke and abnormal heat. Both an ordinary alarm and an alert to the receiver will be triggered when the danger is detected, making it ideal for different hearing abilities within the same house.
The alarm has the following features to ensure the safety of the user:
- Customisable signals mean different alerts can be given for different reasons
- A siren alarm common to normal smoke alarms will sound as well as the receiver, making it ideal for all users
- Wireless transmission of up to 200m
- `Toast Mode` to ensure cooking fumes are not confused with danger
- Low battery alert to guarantee safety at all times
- Operates on a 9V battery
The most suitable position for the smoke alarm is in the centre of the ceiling, 50cm from walls and with the antenna pointing straight down. Position away from cooking or car exhaust fumes and away from damp spaces. The alarm should not be painted.
The Optical Smoke Alarm is compatible with a number of different Bellman Receivers. The Portable Receiver features flashing lights and individual sounds to identify between the different transmitters.
Please note: The Pager Receiver is shown in the image. The Portable Receiver will be provided.
